Hiroki Kuroda (#15) decides to return to the Hiroshima Toyo Carp for the 2016 baseball season.
He previously pitched with the Carp 1997-2007 and then had a stint in the Majors pitching for the Dodgers 2008-2011 and the the Yankees from 2012-2014 before returning back to the Carp.
Kikuchi signs contract renewal and says [Last year was painful].
Kikuchi signed a contract renewal in Hiroshima City at Mazda Stadium for ¥85,000,000 ($691,167). Kikuchi has been on the starting line-up for all of the games in the last two years with a batting average of .254, hitting 8 home-runs, and batting in 32 RBIs.
[This last year was continuously difficult and painful. I was injured and not able to get good results. My body wasn`t able to move. (Of this past year) I`m not really able to see the good points.]
